      MLK: The Making of a Holiday and Believe: The Barack Obama Story are documentaries by On the Potomac Productions that detail the creation of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday and Barack Obama's rise to Presidency, respectively. 

      MLK: The Making of a Holiday is airing between January 11th and January 26th on network commercial television stations throughout the United States. The television special profiles Dr. King’s life and the Civil Rights Movement. It contains Dr. King’s moving speeches, musical tributes to him and remembrances from those who knew him. The program contains footage of his memorial and contemporary celebrity tributes. 

     Believe: The Barack Obama Story is airing for the duration of Black history month (2/1 - 2/28) throughout the United States on network commercial television stations. This television special is an intimate portrait of the life of Barack Obama that details his early life in Hawaii and Harvard as well as his meteoric rise in politics culminating with his historic victory in the 2008 Presidential election and his inauguration.

       Martin Luther King and Barack Obama are each iconic in their own ways and their accomplishments and significance should be remembered by all.
